Customer JS review: When I first used these bags, I noticed they weren't very thick even though the package stated heavy duty. However, they did hold a lot of trash and they didn't rip or leak. The super bio bags look thin, but they are super-sturdy and durable. I have tried other brands which have not always held up very well. These are awesome compostable bags. Highly recommended.”

Response from SuperBio:

Thanks for your feedback, JS!

We are so pleased you loved our product. SuperBio bags are always strong and reliable, and most importantly, eco-friendly. Patented processing technologies are applied and the star-sealed reinforced bottom is designed to securely hold even the heaviest load. Thanks for choosing SuperBio!

Customer MG review: “We have a counter-top compost bin and are using these liners. They seem to hold up just fine for our purposes. We dispose of our compost weekly. Do these bags biodegrade as promised? I hope so! The positive ratings seem to suggest they do. “

Response from SuperBio:

Hi MG,

You’ll be glad to know that SuperBio compostable bags meet the ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 industry standards and have been awarded official compostable certificates from both the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and OK compost and Seedling certificates from TUV. BPI is the only third-party verification body in North America that insures that ASTM standards for compostable products have been met. SuperBio compostable bags will gradually degrade to humus, CO2, and water within 180 days when placed in a standard compost pile. Hope that helps! We really appreciate your business, MG, and thank you for being a valued customer.

Customer KF review: “Made for 11 gallon container not 13. That’s the only problem”

Response from SuperBio:

Hi KF,

Thanks for taking the time to forward us your concern. We are sorry to hear that our 13-gallon trash bag seemed less than a perfect fit for your trash can. That’s surprising since we manufacture our products by adhering to the highest industry standards and strictest quality assurance protocols. We are, however, in the process of redesigning our 13-gallon bags by increasing the length by 4 cm. Hopefully, this might be the answer you are looking for.

Customer NB review: “I have used these for 6 weeks, with usual kitchen scraps--always cooled. Every week the bag leaks. That means I always need to take the whole container to my compost, dump the contents, then clean the container. That means the bag does not serve its basic function.”

Response from SuperBio:

Hi NB,

We appreciate your comments regarding our compostable garbage bags and would like to take a moment to provide you with some useful information about the product. Because our bags are eco-friendly and biodegradable, it is best to dispose of them within 3 days, even if they are not entirely full. Our bags go through rigorous quality assurance testing to ensure strength and durability; however, it is sometimes possible that the acidic and alkaline content found in some kitchen waste can be caustic enough to unduly impact the lifespan of the bag. Although our bags are tear-resistant, it is advisable, nonetheless, to keep sharp objects from coming into direct contact with the bag to avoid premature accidental damage. Hope this helps!

Customer Jacob W review:“How do you dispose without a compost?”

Response from SuperBio:

Hi Jacob W,

Thanks for your inquiry. Here at SuperBio, our motto is “One Bio Step at A Time Towards A Happy Planet”.

To that end, SuperBio bags are certified compostable bags that when full, should be placed directly into a compost bin. If a compost bin isn’t available, it is recommended to dispose of the bags after use in a trash can but not in a recycling bin as they are not recyclable.

Finally, our bags are biodegradable too, and as such, choosing them over traditional plastic bags reduces the footprint of white pollution. We hope this helps!
